Goûter d’anniversaire de La Pâtisserie des Rêves!

By on 18.09.14

So last weekend La Pâtisserie des Rêves celebrated it’s 5th birthday with a huge picnic! Come dressed in pink and white, bring your blanket and get a box of free pastries! There was space for 5000 people (you had to register) and the party that was dressed the best with the nicest picnic props could win a private party at the salon de thé! So some people really made an effort to impress.

This is the box we got! Pain au chocolat, a kouign amann stick, 2x riz au lait, 2 chocolat cake bars and bonbons. Sadly the pain au chocolat and the kouign amann weren’t really fresh and crispy when we got it… packing those many boxes of course takes a lot of time. Anyway I feel like I can’t really complain since it was free?

Riz au lait was okay, I couldn’t really tell if it was good or bad since I don’t have anything to compare it with. Never tried a riz au lait in France so far. xD So that needs to change.

The left one was a orange cake de voyage with peanuts and covered in chocolate, the one on the right was basically a brownie. I liked these. But I like almost all things chocolate.

Around 16h we could get choux to try as well. It’s a choux with a croquant (which was not super crispy anymore), filled with chocolate filling.

Overall the picnic was a fun experience and the weather was good that day!
