About me


So this is the updated version of the ‘about me’ page.

My name is Gail Ho, I’m 21 years old and I live in the Netherlands. Last year I wrote that was studying Industrial Design at the Delft University of Technology and that I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be an industrial designer or not. I have made up my mind. I have earned my bachelors degree of industrial design and decided I will not continue with a masters degree. I want to be a pastry chef. For real.

I love food, making it and eating it. My favorite foods are desserts, pastries, cake, cookies and ice cream. For dinner I enjoy Asian cuisine, maybe it’s because I’m Chinese? In my honest opinion the real Dutch cuisine sucks, it’s taste is bland and never looks appetizing. Imagine a plate full of mashed potatoes mixed with random stuff and only some salt and pepper. bleh. Next to food I like creative stuff, like photographing food and drawing food. Just kidding. Or not. Well the creative person in me is the reason why I initially went to Delft to study industrial design engineering. It’s not that creative though, we had to calculate a whole lot more than I expected before I started. Which wasn’t bad at all, because I seemed to like the beta assignments more than the creatives ones.

    Im 22 and same here. Studied nutrition food management, going to work and save up for two years before going to France to train as a pastry chef. Spent 9 years learning french in prep for that. :) Maybe I will meet u on the street some day

      Yes, follow your passion! It’s very handy you know French already. I shouldn’t have dropped French in high school lol… Good luck saving up and maybe I will meet you one day. :)

    All your photos and food look amazing! I’m 22 and am currently studying communications as well as food studies. I want to save up some money before I go to pastry school though. As of now I’m just baking and blogging on my own, though my food doesn’t look half as good as yours does :)
